It is located on the east side of the village , on the same side as the Heroes Monument of EOKA 1955-59 . It is a church symbol , as it connects the religion with the struggle of the country. It was dedicated to St. Stephen , who was the first witness of Christianity , Apostle Andrew , who was the first disciple of Christ and Saint Modestos Patriarch of Jerusalem , in memory of the first witness of EOKA struggle Modestos Pantelis from Liopetri .
Byzantine marble slabs with two crosses are built in the church, which were previously located in the churchyard of St. George and are of special archaeological value .
