It is located south of the village , in the ' Abia ' area. The small stone chapel that was erected around the 16th century AD by the Greek-Albanian soldiers , who were expelled from the Peloponnese by the Turks and settled as refugees in Cyprus . This selective body installed there, along with their families at the particular location, were land was provided to them in order to cultivate. The church was demolished in 2003 for a new bigger church to take its place , which would cover the religious needs of the refugees, who lived in the settlement of Augorou, after the Turkish invasion of 1974 .
